The development of high-rise PCBs with more than 20 layers is essential for the rapid expansion of 5G/5G+ ultra-high-speed communication infrastructure and the increasing demand for high-capacity data. The Multi-Layer PCBs development is focused on low-dielectric materials to achieve fast transmission speeds and low transmission loss. In this study, we aim to evaluate pre-pregs for Copper Clad Laminate (CCL) used in PCBs at high frequencies. The pre-preg was fabricated using glass fibers and epoxy resin. The surface-modified glass fibers were prepared using modification agents with hydrolyzable groups and reactive functional groups. The surface properties of glass fibers were observed regarding glass fiber wetting and interfacial adhesion with epoxy resin. The dielectric properties were evaluated at high frequencies(10GHz). The surface properties of modified glass fibers were improved interfacial adhesion and interaction with polymer resins, resulting in enhanced dielectric properties.
