We synthesized 2D amorphous materials composed of benzoquinone (BQ) and pyrrole (PY) using a eutectic liquid containing thymol (TY) and BQ. The resulting BQ-PY network exhibited remarkable micropollutants and organic dye adsorption capabilities, due to its conjugated structure and light-to-heat conversion efficiency. To further enhance the adsorption performance, we conducted acid doping process, resulting in the synthesis of Doped-BQ-PY(D-BQ-PY). As a consequence of this process, the efficiency of removing micropollutants, volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and organic dye is enhanced. By leveraging D-BQ-PY's outstanding light adsorption properties, we fabricated a photothermal membrane capable of removing VOCs from water using solar-driven evaporation. This approach provides a effective and promising solution for purifying contaminated water, opening up new possibilities for sustainable water treatment.
