Polymer-based organic cathode materials offer a promising solution to address the cost and environmental issues associated with conventional inorganic cathode materials. Moreover, they can mitigate the solubility issues observed in small molecular organic cathode materials when exposed to electrolytes. In particular, conjugated polymers exhibit higher electrical conductivity compared to other organic materials, making them a viable option for developing organic cathode materials capable of fast charge-discharge processes. However, the electrochemical and mechanical properties of polymer materials, which vary with molecular weight, can significantly impact battery performance, yet this aspect remains largely unexplored. This study aims to investigate the influence of the molecular weight of PNDI-T2 polymer on battery performance.
