Controlling surface properties by MXene synthesis from the synthesis method

MXenes currently have been synthesized through HF-based synthesis method. Among them, Ti3C2Tx MXene, which is being studied most actively, is etched from MAX phase of Ti3AlC2 with HF and/or mixed acid etchant and then exfoliated by intercalant, resulting in the etching state of MXene to vary depending on the type of etchant and intercalant. And since it is synthesized in a top-down method, the surface property that determines the characteristics of MXene is affected by etching. However, there has been not studied that has confirmed the surface properties of MXenes according to the synthesis method in the state of exfoliated film. So, in this study, according to the synthesis method, synthesized MXenes were fabricated as a delaminated film.
