Metal-functionalized honeycomb-patterned (HCP) polymer films are obtained by an interfacial reaction between a reactant which is included during the breath figure method and a counter reactant dissolve in aqueous solution. Functionalized moth-eye pattern (MEP) films were fabricated by pouring a polymer solution containing a reactant, and detaching after dry, and immersed into an aqueous solution containing a counter reactant necessary for the interfacial reaction. The reason for the fabrication of MEP patterned films is its bioinspired property well absorbing light. The functionalized MEP films can have great potentials such as antifouling, antibacterial, radiation shielding, drug release depending on light etc.
