With the advent of electric vehicles, research to increase the mileage of a vehicle on a single charge is becoming more active. Practical measures to increase the mileage per charge are presented to drivers as well, and the most important thing to mention is the reservation air conditioning setting. Reservation air conditioning setting is a function that can increase the mileage by 5 to 20% by adjusting the temperature inside the vehicle using external electricity before driving. In this study, in order to implement a method to increase thermal management efficiency in the vehicle itself, a foam duct that enables weight reduction and heat loss reduction was developed. We had difficulties in applying high-form ducts due to bursting of foam cells, implementing duct shapes, and lack of rigidity. By changing the manufacturing method and material of the foam duct, these application limitations were overcome, and weight reduction and thermal management efficiency were increased.
