MXene, a two-dimensional(2D) material, has been widely applied in energy storage because of its excellent electrical conductivity, high mechanical strength, and compositional adaptability. As a freestanding electrode, we prepared a titanium carbide(Ti3C2Tx) MXene@H2O2-treated MXene composite. MXene was used as a conductive matrix because of its excellent electrical conductivity. Since its abundant hydrophilic terminal groups(-O, -F), it exhibits high lithiophilicity, preventing lithium dendrite growth. We also used H2O2-treated MXene as a lithiophilic material for the stable lithium-metal battery anode. Titanium oxides(TiO2) were generated via an oxidation reaction of MXene nanosheets with H2O2. This research is advantageous because the manufacturing process is simple and cost-effective. We characterized the material properties using X-ray diffraction(XRD), and scanning electron microscopy(SEM).
