Long term plasticity in synaptic behavior was reported as a result of OECT fabrication using the layer covered with Nafion membrane on PEDOT:PSS. Thus, phase separation was shown when mixed with PEDOT:PSS, and a case was reported in which the performance of the device was improved when a film including PEDOT:PSS and Nafion was used as an active layer of OECT. Herine, the possibility of realizing synaptic LTP was raised when Nafion was mixed. In addition, many cases of DE-DOPING process using aromatic amines have been reported on PEDOT:PSS, which has a disadvantage of low biocompatibility. To improve this, we plan to manufacture OECTs with a sgt (source gated transistor) structure that brings about a de-doping effect as well as low-voltage driving by using a metal with a high work function as a source. Since this device does not add ionic salt, it is more biocompatible, and is expected to show synaptic behavior, and it will be able to develop into a more sensitive bio sensor.
