To engineer novel freestanding/flexible electrodes with improved performance in supercapacitors by electrospinning process is a crucial and urgently required task. In this study, we designed Ti3C2Tx MXenes containing hollow carbon nanofibers (MXHCNF) with the unique decoration of inside-out polypyrrole layers (PPy@MXHCNF). ZnCoMOF derived positive (ZCO@PPy@MXHCNF) and negative (NPC@MXHCNF) electrodes show specific capacitance of 1567.5 F g-1 and 477.21 F g-1, respectively. A flexible asymmetric device is assembled, and it delivers an energy density of 61.3 Wh kg-1 at a power density of 796.8 W kg-1. This works offers a novel approach for MXene modification and PPy@MXHCNF as an effective substrate to prepare freestanding electrodes for flexible supercapacitors.
