The study explores the augmentation of OFETs by employing a composite of TIPS-pentacene and BTBT encapsulated in PS, with a subsequent SVA process. Unlike the predominantly explored donor-acceptor copolymer systems, this investigation capitalizes on the energy level contrast between TIPS-pentacene and BTBT to facilitate efficient charge carrier injection. The pivotal role of BTBT as a p-type dopant enhances the TIPS-pentacene performance. The integration of an organic semiconductor into an insulative PS matrix modulates the solvent evaporation rate, thereby boosting crystallinity and circumventing the constraints of a singular semiconductor. The SVA process triggers the formation of large-area TIPS-pentacene 2D crystals, which paves the way for improved charge carrier transport and hence, OFET performance. Further research in this arena could precipitate significant strides in flexible electronics and sensor technology, thus underscoring the potential for considerable enhancements in the functionality of organic electronic apparatus.
