Stretchable ionic conductors have garnered significant attention due to their high ionic conductivity and self-healing ability. These properties are beneficial for the enhanced performance of electrochromic devices (ECDs). However, developing a simple material architecture encompassing all these essential features remains challenging. Viologens have been utilized in all-in-one ion gel compositions because they can accept electrons and straightforward synthetic routes. However, incorporating viologens into polymers for ion gel has not been reported. Also, the material must exhibit excellent flexibility, self-healing capabilities, and electrochemical performance. In this poster, we present a stretchable polymer that incorporates viologen, polytetramethylene ether glycol, and multi-hydrogen moieties. We have improved self-healing behaviors and ion conduction through cooperative hydrogen bonding and enhanced ion transportation. Subsequently, we have fabricated large-area and flexible ECDs.
