Soft lenses are made of hydrophilic hydrogel materials and are soft and flexible. The crosslinking agent used in manufacturing increases the shape stability of the lens by forming a network structure in the polymer at the same time as polymerization, but reduces the elasticity and flexibility of the lens by reducing the mobility of the polymer chain. In this study, new acrylic monomers with photo-reactive groups were synthesized to replace the conventional crosslinking agent. Unlike existing crosslinking agents, a crosslinking structure was created on the lens using a photo dimerization reaction to maintain the mobility of the polymer chain and improve the problems of the existing crosslinking agent. When preparing the crosslinking agent, the functional group was changed to prepare, and then the mechanical properties of the lenses for each composition were measured and compared.
