Research on asymmetric catalysts with high efficiency and enantioselectivity is an ongoing pursuit among organic chemists. Asymmetric organic catalysts, being unsymmetrical molecules, play a crucial role in controlling enantioselectivity through subtle structural changes in chemical reactions. In this study, we report tetraphenylethylene (TPE)-based supramolecular chiral materials. Interestingly, the self-assembled materials exhibited a pH-responsive feature, showing the circular dichroism (CD) spectra inversion triggered by the pH change. This switchable chiral material could open up the controlled enantioselective organic reaction in different pH conditions.Research on such supramolecular catalytic systems can be applied to various chemical reactions and contribute to the enhancement of the quality of synthesized compounds and more efficient chemical processes in diverse fields, including pharmaceuticals and the chemical industry.
