Synthesis and Ink Formulation of Blue Quantum Dots for Electroluminescent Display

This research was undertaken to apply of blue quantum dots (QDs) into electroluminescent (EL) display. Through controlled Tellurium doping during synthesis, the band-gap of the blue QDs was fine-tuned, enabling precise adjustment of the emission wavelength and full-width at half maximum (FWHM) to meet the specific employing Halide Passivation on the QDs’ surfaces. To facilitate the application of these optimized blue QDs into inkjet formulations, we conducted surface modifications using various compounds. By ensuring photoluminescence and dispersion stability for a duration of 30 days, we were able to meet the device fabrication requirements.
