Two-dimensional metal carbide MXenes have been recently studied a lot due to its excellent properties. MXenes are attracting attention because of their outstanding metallic conductivity and various surface functional groups. Compared to other 2D materials, gas molecules adsorb and interact well on the surface of MXenes. Among them, the gas sensitivity of Mo-based MXenes have been known to show higher selectivity and enhanced sensitivity compared to other MXenes such as Ti3C2Tx MXene. In this presentation, we report a surface modification Mo2TiC2Tx MXene gas sensor with enhanced sensitivity. Moreover, we improved their environmental stability by surface modification with organic ligands based on coordination bonding. Here fabricated sensors showed superb stability maintaining 96.2% responsivity toward 100 ppm ammonia vapor even after 30 days at room temperature.
