In this study, we demonstrate that inducing self-assembly in block copolymers using centrifugal force is highly effective to aligning the BCP domains. As centrifugal force acts as shear force, applied force can be manipulated by varying rotational speed and radial distance within the centrifuge. Structural analysis shows that the degree of orientation improves as shear stress increases, which is in good agreement with our calculation result. This method provide effective route for the fabrication of large area patterning of block copolymer self-assembly without using pre-patterned templates.
