Piezoionic effect allows the formation of a potential by using the difference in the ion mobility in response to external physical changes. It is utilized for the electromechanical sensor for the perception of a static force. However, piezoionic sensors have limitations of intrinsic low-output signal and slow response time.

Herein, we propose a multilayered piezoionic sensor with the ion-dipole interactive self-healable property for device stability against mechanical deformation and ion accumulation layer for increasing the piezoionic performance. The sensor shows high stability under harsh mechanical deformation and recognizes the bending direction since the relatively light cations move rapidly in the strain direction which induces ion polarization. The accumulated ion activates the driving force for the counter ions moving to the interface, leading to the highly performance with 70 mV and 31 ms recovery rate. We demonstrated the sensor array for the simultaneous perception of static and dynamic forces.
