This research describes the architecture and evaluation of poly(ary ether)s copolymer based di-, tert- quaternized stable and highly conductive alkaline exchange membrane (AEM). This AEMs with suitable properties were synthesized via bromination of poly(aryl ether)s containing BPA, TM-BPA, DM-BPA monomer, followed by bromination, quaternizaion, and ion exchange. Their chemical and structures are characterized by proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (H’NMR) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and their morphologies were investigated by atomic force microscopy (AFM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). There are some more important properties for AEMs such as Ionic exchange capacity (IEC), water uptake, dimensional stability, anion conductivity etc... Along with the other characterizations, the obtained AEMs were proven to be promising candidated for potential fuel cell and water electrolyte application.
