Synthesis of Liquid Crystalline Epoxy resin with High Thermal Conductivity

Liquid crystalline epoxy (LCE) with a new molecular structure was synthesized. The heat dissipation efficiency of the LCE increases according to the orientation of each monomer, and as the molecular length increases, orientation increases. To obtain higher thermal conductivity, the molecular structure had liquid crystal properties and spacers were attached to LCE with small liquid crystal temperature ranges to extend side chains to increase the liquid crystal temperature and orientation of molecules. Through this, a LCE with high orientation was manufactured to prevent phonon scattering, and increased heat dissipation performance was evaluated. The result of thermal conductivity will be reported at the conference.
