The epoxy resin, extensively employed across various industries, demonstrates exceptional adhesive strength, chemical resistance, heat resistance, and mechanical properties. Nonetheless, epoxy resins derived from bisphenol A (BPA) are known for their environmental disruption as endocrine disruptors and their persistence as non-degradable thermosetting materials. As a result, there is a growing demand for bio-based and cost-effective alternatives. In this study, we have successfully developed and analyzed an eco-friendly epoxy resin by utilizing a bio-substance called curcumin. Furthermore, we conducted mechanical and thermal analyses, and the recyclability of the curcumin-based epoxy resin will be announced in the near future.
