The cell membrane cloaking technique is a bioinspired technology that utilizes naturally derived design cues to modify the surfaces of biomaterials. Unlike modifications using synthetic materials, cell membranes have the capability to accurately mimic the intricate physicochemical properties and biomimetic functions of the parent cell source. This technique holds significant potential for substantially enhancing current biomaterial-based platforms. In this context, we showcase our recent endeavors involving the development of cell membrane-cloaked scaffolds tailored for a diverse range of biomedical applications, including but not limited to leukemia therapy, immunotherapy, and tissue regeneration.
