The development of flexible electronic technology has led to convenient and useful products, such as foldable displays and wearable devices. Accordingly, the need for flexible adhesives that can quickly recover the shape while connecting the components of the device has increased. In this work, urethane-based crosslinkers containing m-xylylene diisocyanate (XDI) or 1,3-bis(isocyanatomethyl)cyclohexane (H6XDI) as a hard segment are synthesized while fixing polyethylene glycol (PEG) as a soft segment. The synthesized H6XDI-PEG diacrylate (HPD) exhibited significantly enhanced recoverability compared to the XDI-PEG diacrylate and conventional crosslinker (1,6-hexanediol diacrylate, HDDA). PSAs with HPD also exhibited high adhesive strength and optical transmittance, indicating their high potential to be used as PSAs for flexible displays.
