2D materials, including graphene, TMDs, and MXene, have gained significant attention for their immense potential and unique chemistry in fabricating various products. However, their adoption in the industry remains challenging. One of the key hurdles in commercializing 2D materials lies in the development of large-scale production techniques. In this talk, we will review different physical methods for coating and fabricating films using 2D materials. Large-scale methods, like slot-die coating, offer flexibility through equipment-independent advantages tied to material availability. On the other hand, small-scale methods are primarily limited by the size of the fabrication device. This discussion aims to offer a technical overview of creating thin film coatings using 2D and nano carbon materials, acting as an initial audience reference. We aim to redirect focus towards scalable processes, unlocking potential for 2D material-based product commercialization.
