Metal halide perovskite has gain great attention in various optoelectronic applications. However, several problems still persist in metal halide perovskites, mainly related to instability and toxicity. To solve these problems, we synthesized double halide perovskites (Cs2MxM’1-xCl6) with different dopant concentration. With increasing dopant concentration, double halide perovskite crystals showed changes in photoluminescence spectrum, photoluminescence lifetime and optical absorption. Interestingly, dopant thermodynamically stabilizes the crystal structure and greatly increases the water stability of perovskite crystals; doped double halide perovskites persist their bright photoluminescence in water for a long time even without polymer/organic encapsulation and epitaxial organic/inorganic shell materials. Other photophysical studies of double halide perovskites with different dopant concentration were also investigated.
