The research involved the use of crystallization to prepare drug composites and investigate the effects of nucleation order differences and addition of polymers on drug release behavior in the process. While the addition of polymers had no dramatic influence, the change in nucleation order had significant influence on the various characteristics of drug particles. The drug composites exhibited distinct differences in crystal habit when observed with scanning electron microscopy (SEM), depending on the nucleation order. Proton nuclear magnetic resonance (H-NMR) analysis indicated changes in drug deposition proportions, influenced by the nucleation order. X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns showed peak variations based on the drug's crystallization order. Furthermore, differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) measurements confirmed a change in the melting point of the drug composite. Lastly, the drug release rate of the drug composite was different depending on the nucleation order.
