Development of Thermally Conductive Boron Nitride/Carbon nanofiber/Thermoplastic Polymer Composites

With the advancement of electronic devices, there is an increasing interest in developing exceptional heat-dissipation materials. Thermally conductive polymer composites, which are lightweight, easy to process, and economical to manufacture, can serve as efficient thermal management materials for such devices. The development of high thermal conductivity polymer composites primarily involves research on increasing the addition of hexagonal boron nitride (BN), a material with high thermal conductivity, and controlling its orientation. In this study, we have developed an efficient manufacturing method for thermally conductive polymer composites using a combination of BN and carbon nanofibers with thermoplastic polymers. We have evaluated the thermal conductivity and volume resistivity of the composite.
