Conjugated polymers have been extensively studied for the last three decades due to their interesting optoelectronic characteristics including wet-coating processes at room temperature. To date, various devices have been studied using conjugated polymers even though their commercialization has not been successful yet. Recently, organic photodetectors with conjugated polymers have attracted keen attention thanks to the paradigm shift to flexible electronics. It is expected that high-quality organic photodetectors can be fabricated using organic transistor platforms. However, from a viewpoint of diversity, low-cost types of organic photodetectors such as light-dependent resistors might take a share in the niche market once the pie of flexible photodetectors becomes bigger in the future. In this presentation, we briefly demonstrate organic light-dependent resistors by employing near infrared (NIR)-absorbing conjugated polymers.
