We employed benzo crown ethers to introduce a passivation effect on the perovskite surface and suppress Pb2+ leakage of devices, especially under humid environments. Among different candidates, B18C6 was determined to not only have the highest binding energy with Pb2+ but also the best PCE owing to the surface passivation of perovskite and better energy alignment with HTL. The moisture resistance of B18C6-treated perovskite is examined by water contact angle measurement, and suppressed lead leakage was proven by testing Pb2+ concentration in device soaking water. Furthermore,ToF-SIMS analysis showed effective Pb2+ capture of B18C6 to prevent interlayer ion migration under bias. In turn, photovoltaic performance was enhanced with B18C6 treatment owing to the passivation of perovskite surface and formation of the host-guest complex with Pb2+, and device stability was significantly improved under high-humidity environments.
