The practical application of sustainable sorbent materials in solving environmental challenges has recently a lot of interest due to their performances, which make them attractive compared to current spill remediation methods. The spill removal ability is naturally inherited from the superhydrophobic materials to modified sorbents. We will introduce an exciting issue that contains a thorough investigation and analysis of the application of fascinating sorbent materials in the treatment of oil/water emulsion and highly viscous crude oils. It will also concentrate on recycling methods and possible solutions for waste sorbents after use.
