Although multifunctional devices have been widely investigated for wearable applications, it is still challenging to simultaneously achieve high stretchability, gas permeability, chemical stability, and sensitivity without signal interference. Here, we develop a multifunctional breathable device by using porous styrene-ethylene-butylene-styrene films, and two types of gold nanowires. The porous film enables high breathability with a low elastic modulus, providing high skin compatibility. The strain sensor using gold hollow nanowires shows high strain sensitivity with low temperature sensitivity, whereas the temperature sensor and the on-demand heater using Ag@Au core-shell nanowires show high temperature sensitivity with low strain sensitivity. In combination, the stretchable sensors show high strain and temperature sensitivity to monitor body motion and skin temperature without signal interference. Furthermore, the on-demand heating system can be used to control the skin temperature.
