The rising interest in stretchable electroluminescent devices from their potential to drive innovation in various applications. We have obtained ionic hydrogels electrode exhibit high stretchability, excellent optical transmittance, and high conductivity, making high stretchability alternating-current electroluminescent (ACEL) devices. In this work, by employing this hydrogel electrode, we have further improved the performance of the ACEL device. Color control of the ACEL device was achieved by controlling the design of the device structure. We also enhance the luminance of ACEL by adding a high-K dielectric in the emission layer. These performance enhancements will make the ACEL devices promising for applications in soft electronics and wearable technology.
