Energy harvesting via moisture-induced generators (MEGs) is widely explored, yet their integration with other harvesters for enhanced power efficiency is rarely exhibited. This work introduces a complementary energy harvester, simultaneously generating moisture-induced and triboelectric power in a single device. Our harvester was comprised as mechanically robust melamine foam coated with 2-dimensional conductive MXene (Ti3C2Tx) nanosheets and partly covered with organo-ionic hydrogel. This gives rise to a MEG with the DC voltage and current density of 310 mV and 877 μA cm-2, respectively. The resilient foam tolerates repetitive triboelectric contacts, producing a triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) with a high AC voltage of 80 V. When our MEG combines with triboelectrification, the device shows a high electric power of 83 μW cm-2. The unique DC and AC outputs enable a novel emergency guidance system where a MEG-powered light is amplified by a self-powered TENG in emergencies.
