초록

내용
Biobased covalent adaptable networks (CANs) derived from renewable resources such as vegetable oils are paid growing attentions as environmentally benign polymers allowing the reduction of CO2-emissions. Dynamic covalent bonds constituting the CANs allow rearrangement of network topology at elevated temperature through the exchange reaction between the covalent bonds which endow the crosslinked network to have reprocessing ability. In this work, poly(urea urethane) CAN was prepared by reaction of castor oil, a non-edible vegetable oil possessing hydroxyl groups in its structure, with Isophorone diisocyanate to form NCO terminated polyurethane prepolymer followed by crosslinking it with N-(2-aminoethyl)piperazine to form dynamic hindered urea bonds. Structure and thermomechanical properties of the cross-linked poly(urea urethane) derived from the castor oil were characterized by measurement of gel content, DMA, stress-relaxation test and tensile test.
