Water vapor is the most potent greenhouse gas in the Earth’s atmosphere, although its behavior is fundamentally different from that of other greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide and methane. A main problem of water vapor is ubiquitously released from various routes from human activity to industrial process. Thus, it should be captured to minimize the climate changes. Desiccant process is widely used to capture the released water vapor however this process is suitable for bath system rather than continuous process, which inherently spends expensive operation cost. Membrane technology has been considered as a potential solution to alternate energy-intensive separation processes. However, a critical challenge has been remained to develop the cost-effective polymeric membrane with outstanding separation efficiency including fast and selective transport along with stability. We here have proposed new type of polymeric membrane to satisfy above issues. The detail will be discussed in this talk.
