Ti<sub>3</sub>C<sub>2</sub>T<sub>x</sub> MXene Polymer Composite for EMI Shielding Applications

MXene has received much consideration as a filler in polymer systems due to its remarkable electrical properties. However, achieving good dispersion of MXene in the epoxy system remains challenging. Herein, we report surface-modified MXene to overcome this obstacle, improving polymer-MXene interactions. A significant increase in EMI shielding is achieved with low weight percent loading of MXene. MXene-epoxy interactions were analyzed using Scanning electron microscopy and Transmission electron microscopy. These findings are attributed to the superb MXene-epoxy network providing improved mechanical properties and EMI shielding providing robust EMI shielding composite for next-generation electronic devices.
