Among various organic photodetector materials, open shell polymers have emerged as a captivating class with unique electronic properties. This property can be advantageous for certain electronic and optoelectronic applications, including photodetectors sensitive to near-infrared light. This research aims to provide an in-depth investigation into the synthesis, optoelectronic properties, and performance of open shell polymer-based NIR photodetectors. The polymer was fabricated into thin-film devices, and the electrical conductivity, charge carrier mobility, and charge transport characteristics were investigated under different conditions. The results provide insights into the charge carrier behavior within the open shell polymer and offer valuable information for potential electronic applications. This study demonstrates the successful synthesis and thorough characterization of an open shell polymer with a focus on its electrical and magnetic properties.
