Developing innovative methods for high surface area nanoreactor fabrication is crucial for efficient contaminant removal and water treatment. We employed a novel hard-template approach to synthesize 3D ordered porous inverse-opal structured columnar devices from high-performance polymers. The resulting structure offers a large surface area, enhancing contact between reaction substrate and active sites. Combining g-C3N4 with Fe ions, we created an efficient photocatalytic nanoreactor for water purification via advanced oxidation processes. Fenton reaction-mediated degradation removed up to 20% synthetic dyes and over 17% conventional drugs. ROS on the reactor surface proved vital for catalytic degradation of organic compounds.
