Expanding the Applications of Organic-Inorganic Hybrid Perovskite Nanocrystals: From Optoelectronics to Sensors

Perovskite materials, known for exceptional light sensitivity and electronic properties, have broad applications in optoelectronics. Originally central to solar cells, advancements in processing have diversified their usage. Our research explores nano-engineering of perovskites using various organic molecules. We focus on surface interactions in hybrid perovskites for surface-modified perovskite nanocrystals. We illustrate how manipulating functional groups controls perovskite surface chemistry, highlighting our work on photodetectors and gas sensors.
