Atopic dermatitis is an inflammatory skin disease characterized by immune dysregulation. We propose the treatment of atopic dermatitis by utilizing stem cell spheroids encapsulated in a hydrogel matrix. These stem cells have the ability to modulate immune responses and release therapeutic factors. The spheroid is preferred as it creates a hypoxic environment, promoting the secretion. The hydrogel matrix is composed of hyaluronic acid and collagen. The mechanical properties of the hydrogels are assessed by a rheometer, while the matrix is observed by SEM. Furthermore, the secretome secreted by the stem cells is collected and applied to atopic dermatitis cells to evaluate its therapeutic effect. This experimental setup allows us to investigate the immunomodulatory properties of the stem cell secretome and assess its potential for the treatment of atopic dermatitis. This study has the potential to the development of effective treatments for patients suffering from atopic dermatitis.
