This study aims to develop a selective drug delivery system (DDS) for wound healing using a photocleavage-based polymer system with a photocleavable (PC) linker and UV irradiation. The hydrogel undergoes photocleavage upon UV irradiation, resulting in the release of trapped drugs and enabling selective wound healing. The optimized hydrogel is generated through supramolecular interactions between cyclodextrin-modified 4-arm-PEG and aromatic residues of gelatin. The chemical analysis of 4-arm-PEG-CD is performed using MALDI-TOF to confirm the modification, while the mechanical properties of the hydrogel before and after UV irradiation are assessed using rheology to measure its strength. In conclusion, this study demonstrates the potential to develop effective hydrogels for treating wounds by optimizing conditions that enable selective drug delivery.
