Carbon neutralization policy has recently spotlighted the importance of renewable energy technology systems. Although less attention has been paid to thermoelectric devices, smart conversion of thermal energy to electricity can be of great importance in the global warming age on this planet. In particular, organic thermoelectric devices (OTEDs) have continuously attracted keen interest due to the low-temperature processes of organic films and the high degree of freedom in the design of device structures. In addition, OTEDs can deliver thin and flexible thermoelectric modules, which can be easily attached to heat sources including the human body and home electronic appliances, etc. However, most previous studies have used conjugated polymers for the fabrication of OTEDs. This presentation briefly reports the thermoelectric characteristics of nonconjugated polymer films doped with acid molecules.
