Understanding charge transport in organic semiconductors is essential for applications in high-performance organic electronics. For this reason, Hall effect measurements have been one of the most crucial methodologies to elucidate charge transport mechanisms and intrinsic mobility in organic semiconductors. However, Hall effect studies frequently reveal an unconventional behavior that cannot be readily explained with the simple band-semiconductor Hall effect model. Here, we present examples of the underdeveloped Hall effect in high-mobility organic semiconductors and propose the most plausible origins. Particularly in highly doped organic semiconductors, comparing the Hall effect and field-effect measurements leads to decoupling charge carriers in coexisting coherent (bandlike) and incoherent (hopping) carriers.
