Research on OLED fabrication via solution processes is advantageous due to reduced material consumption and low process costs. Despite these advantages, the efficiency, reproducibility, and operational stability of solution-processed OLEDs still lag behind vacuum-deposition type devices, requiring further research in these aspects. In this study, in order to address these issues, we attempted to apply medium-sized molecules (Cy-mCP and Cy-DtCzBN) with a cyclohexane core as an sp3 linker, which was synthesized and introduced into solution-processed OLEDs. These medium-sized molecules exhibit improved film-forming ability compared to small-sized molecules, while maintaining the optical characteristics of small-sized molecules. Furthermore, these molecules exhibited high film thermal stability and demonstrated good solubility due to their bulky molecular structure. In conclusion, this study presents a molecular design strategy suitable for application in solution processed OLED.
