Limonene, an abundant renewable bioresource found in citrus peels, is extensively used in the food and cosmetics industries., Herein, we demonstrated macromolecular design of limonene-based branched polymers and their potential to form reusable and degradable thermosets. For this, we strategically positioned numerous specific groups on the outside the branched polymer, which can play a crucial role in providing network in the presence of Meldrum's acid-based cross-linkers. The resultant thermosets could be easily reprocessed upon heating and were degradable through aminolysis. Moreover, the thermosets could be used as a matrix or binder to fabrication carbon-fiber-reinforced polymers, showing programmable responses and versatile applications. This study would advance the potential of limonene-based polymers for the development of environmentally friendly functional materials.
