This work investigates three catalysts that enable one-step CO2 capture and conversion. The catalysts were characterized using FT-IR, Solid-state 13C-NMR, XRD, TGA, and HR-FESEM. Gas adsorption properties were evaluated using BET analysis, including adsorption-desorption isotherms, NLDFT pore-size distribution, and adsorption at 298K, 313K, and 353K, respectively. The catalysts were also tested for their conversion abilities by converting styrene oxide to styrene carbonate. All three catalysts have been shown to be effective in selectively capturing CO2 molecules over N2 in a post-combustion environment. The porphyrin based Azo-COPs exhibited outstanding CO2/N2 selectivity at 313K. The results of this work demonstrate the potential of these catalysts for CO2 capture and conversion.
