6FDA (4,4‘-(Hexafluoroisopropylidene)diphthalic anhydride) is a monomer of the dianhydrides and is used in combination with monomers of the diamines to produce transparent fluorinated polyimide. Transparent fluorinated polyimide can be applied to the cover windows of foldable smartphones and large flexible displays. It is a versatile material that can be used in various applications such as flexible display devices, solar cells, PCBs, touch panels. The follow invention relates to a method for the production of purified 6FDA with high quality. More specifically, it pertains to a method for the production of 6FDA that is refined to a high degree. However, the development of a purification method for 6FDA that can remove trace amounts of metal ions as impurities, while maintaining high efficiency and shortening the refining process, is still a challenging task. The technical challenge of this invention is to provide a method for the production of high-quality purified 6FDA.
