In this study, we utilized an exciplex host system to enhance the performance of solution-processed TADF-OLED. The exciplex host system, comprising donor and acceptor hosts, offers superior carrier injection and transport compared to single host devices, resulting in improved efficiency. The advantages of exciplex host system include reduced turn on voltage, improved efficiency roll-off, and extended operating lifetime. Moreover, by introducing the Adamantane group into the donor type host, we increased the molecular weight, thereby enhancing the thermal stability of the host. Therefore, AdCz-DBT was used as the donor host and tPDBA was used as the acceptor host. It was confirmed that the thermal stability was improved while maintaining the high T1 and other properties of Cz-DBT. The TADF-OLED using this mixed host has superior device performance compared to the single host. This study showed the possibility of exciplex host system and adamantane group for solution processing.
