High energy level offset ternary strategy for efficient Organic Photovoltaic and Photodetecting Applications

In this study, we fabricated efficient and stable ternary organic electronic devices electronic devices (OEDs) by introducing the EH-IDTBR with high lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) level as guest acceptor. We performed the photovoltaic and detection measurements of the ternary OEDs, through the photo electric conversion performances, surface morphology changes, internal device resistances, and photo response characteristics. The optimized OEDs with EH-IDTBR revealed the improved charge transfer property and dramatically suppressed dark current. These superior properties originated from the high LUMO level of the EH-IDTBR contributing improved performances and good durability against externally stimuli. Therefore, introduction of ternary blend with EH-IDTBR is promising method for the efficient and stable ternary OEDs.
