To develop highly uniform and better-quality perovskite film for efficient inkjet printed (IJP) perovskite solar cells (PSCs), ink engineering is a promising way to achieve high power conversion efficiency. Specifically, high thickness uniformity and excellent electrical properties are essential for the absorber layer in PSCs. A different approach uses high boiling point solvents to prepare perovskite ink. Herein a perovskite layer is fabricated using developed inks via inkjet printing technique. The perovskite film fabricated using a high boiling point solvent exhibits higher thickness uniformity, surface morphology, and grain size. The best IJP PSC device achieves the maximum power conversion efficiency of >16%. The improved device performance of the IJP-PSC device arises mainly from the better uniformity and crystallinity, which suppressed recombination centers at the perovskite's bulk and surface, enabling the scalable fabrication of highly efficient IJP PSCs.
