The recent increase in the polymer industry has led to a rise in environmental pollution, making research on solutions using biodegradable polymers extremely important. This study aims to develop organic gas sensor components based on a blending film of polythiophene (P3HT) and polybutylene succinate (PBS) to reduce environmental burden. The research results revealed that even with a reduction of up to half the P3HT content, the organic gas sensor's performance could be maintained. This implies that it is possible to decrease the amount of P3HT while still maintaining the efficiency of the gas sensor. However, it was observed that if the PBS content increases beyond 50wt%, the insulating properties hinder the gas sensor's performance. These results can provide guidelines for the fabrication of an eco-friendly organic gas sensor that utilizes biodegradable polymers while enhancing sensor sensitivity.
